Licks, Flicks, and Amazons

Random updates…
I’ve started to post messages to a new weblog I’ll intermittently keep on Amazon.com. New entries will pop up on my book pages, or you can find me on their Author’s Directory. Or you can just leap right to it by reading my first entry.

Novello Publishers have announced that they’ll be publishing my novella, Licker, later this Fall, in a limited edition chapbook. Licker will be a humorous horror story about a boy who is having some very bizarre problems with his tongue. I think this is likely to be the funniest, weirdest, sickest thing I’ve ever written. I’ll share news as it develops.

I’m also working on a new story for a book called Monster Noir, a story collection coming soon from Nyx Books. All the tales in Monster Noir will take place in a city called Nyxon, which is where the cinematic monsters of our collective memory reside. My piece is about an amusement park on the outskirts of town, called “Exorcystland.” Not to be confused with the “real” Exorcistland in Iraq. I’ll tell you more about it as the book approaches publication, but editor Steve Savile tells me that it’s okay to give you a sneak peek at one of the tentative cover sketches for the book (On your left…pretty cool, no? They’ve got a lot more planned…just you wait!)
