Writing in the Dark is the writing workshop series related to Tim Waggoner‘s excellent guidebook by the same title (which just released a new workbook you can order!). It’s intended for writers of any experience level who are interested in developing their skills writing on the dark side of the literary landscape, mostly in the horror genre. The workshops are hosted by All Access Con and the good people at Raw Dog Screaming Press, and this new Spring session will feature a number of good writers in addition to Waggoner himself, such as John Edward Lawson, Crystal Conner, James Chambers, RJ Joseph, Kerrie Leigh-Grady, Brian Matthews, Norman Prentiss, L. Marie Wood, and more — all participating in panel discussions, running workshops, sharing videos, and more,

The Spring 22 Writing in the Dark will transpire ONLINE from April 28th-May 1st.

Arnzen will be actively participating in panels and activities, and running a special new live in-person workshop called “Let’s Go Crazy!” about effectively (and respectfully) crafting a range of moments of psychological breakdown — from anxiety to utter insanity — in fiction.

Paid registration is required and a ticket gets you into the entire conference, where you’ll not only be able to study writing on the darkside, but also network with peers.  Further details will be shared as they are announced!
